901 Airline Dr.

New Orleans, LA 70062

(Hilton Hotel is directly across from the New Orleans Int'l. Airport)

SECTIONS and FORMAT

All Sections: 4SS, G/30 d5

Four games will be played and each opponent has 30 minutes to complete his game with a 5-second time delay set on the clock. Players in the K-2 section will not be required to use chess clocks for their games unless both opponents are comfortable using a clock and both agree to do so.

TEAM INFO

SCHOOL TEAMS & HOME-SCHOOLED TEAMS:

A SCHOOL TEAM will consist of a “minimum” of three players from the same school or home-school district registering in the same section (K-2, K-4, K-6, K-8 or K-12). However, the top FOUR scores will count for final team standings, so it would be to your advantage to find a fourth team member (no “maximum” limit of number of players on a school team). Team and individual games will be played simultaneously.

BYES

Byes (1/2-pt.) are available for any round. Limit one bye per player. Must notify Tournament Director of a requested Bye prior to the start of the second round. No elimination . . . everyone will play all scheduled rounds!

PRIZES

All USCF- RATED Sections:

Trophies awarded to the top 5 individuals and top SCHOOL TEAM in each section; commemorative medals to all non-trophy winners.

K-6 (Unrated) Section:

Trophies awarded to the top 5 individuals. Commemorative medals to all non-trophy winners.
IN ADDITION TO AWARDS, EACH PLAYER WILL RECEIVE A COMPLIMENTARY GIFT!
